St Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first
time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender,
marital status, disability, race or sexuality.
You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are
uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith.
If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found
in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any
Please do stay for tea and coffee afterwards, and feel free to
carry your drink into the main body of the church.
St@PH takes place next Sunday at 10.30 a.m. at Parkhill School, a
communion service on led by Penny Hughes.
St@PH meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at the
school each month.
Please support the Good Friday service on Tile Hill green outside St
Oswalds Church at 12 noon. This service
is supported by all local churches and is a witness to local shoppers. It lasts approximately 15 minutes, followed
by tea and hot cross buns in the church hall.
We are looking for additional readers for services during Holy
Week. If you are willing to help, please
speak to Greg.
Our next Alpha course will begin on April 25th at 7 p.m. at
the Vicarage and for the following Wednesdays until July 4th, with
an Away Day on Sat June 16th.
We anticipate a very good take up rate for the course, which many think
is the best way of exploring the Christian faith and getting to know new people
at church. All welcome. Please contact Leslie Harrison to register
your interest on 7669 5022 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Monday Night Club

The PCC (church council) have agreed the following priorities for 2012.
- Enhancing communication and networking
- Encouraging personal discipleship within the whole congregation
- Developing ministry in Bannerbrook Park in partnership with St Oswalds through the placement of our new curate
The structural engineers who have been monitoring the cracks at the east
end of the church have now reported and confirmed that subsidence has been
caused by tree roots. The PCC have decided to engage a tree specialist to provide us with a report to submit to Coventry City Council so that the problem can be remedied effectively.
Cathedral’s Golden Anniversary
We have been offered two tickets to the Cathedral’s 50th anniversary service on Friday May 25th at 11.30 a.m. at which the Archbishop of Canterbury will be presiding. If you would like to have the opportunity to attend, please give your name to Greg and two names will be drawn from a hat on Easter Day.
Scirebourne Fun Morning
Please note that the next fun morning at the Scirebourne Tavern in
Eastern Green Road for parents and pre-school children takes place on Monday
April 16th from 10-11 a.m. and not as advertised previously on April
Please note there will be no service on Weds 11th April,
contrary to the advert in the Link magazine.
Please make a note of our Annual General Meeting which takes place on Monday
April 23rd at 7.30 p.m. preceded by a communion service at 7 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to hear about the work of St Andrews over the last 12 months and to ask questions. It is not a long and dry meeting! If anyone would like to stand for the PCC, please speak to Greg or one of the churchwardens.
With our annual meeting, looming we are seeking to update our electoral
roll (the official record of church membership). If you have been worshipping regularly at St Andrews for six months or more, you are eligible to join. Please see Greg or Lesley Harrison for a form. This needs to be returned by Easter.
You have probably heard about Saturday 26th May Coventry Pentecost Churches together. Viv Kibble is responsible for setting up a flash mob dance in Broadgate square at approximately 2PM. She is currently teaching the dance around the city and wants to invite anyone from your congregation to be a part of this.
Imagine 1000 people in the City Centre dancing to Tim Hughes’ “Happy Day”. There is a training DVD on You tube and a sample of what people can learn in about an hour. Follow the links
