November 17th 2013
St Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.
To Revd Penny Hughes, always a very welcome visitor, who is leading our service this morning.
Amanda Evans, Jackie Page’s daughter, sadly died on Wednesday morning at Myton Hospice. Her funeral takes place at St Andrews on Friday Nov 29th at 11 a.m. Please pray for Jackie, Amanda’s husband Mark and the children, Jessica and Bethany at this very sad time.
StAPH, our church plant at Woodlands School, is meeting for the first time this morning on a third Sunday at 10.30 a.m. and will continue to worship three times a month on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays. We have also agreed to employ a half time leader, with a salary of £11k, starting in May. Please speak to Greg or Alex for a job description, person specification or for an informal discussion. The post will be advertised across other local churches, but we want to do everything possible to encourage applications from within our own fellowship. Do pray for StAPH as it commences another exciting stage of its journey.
To Trev and Grace who are being married at St Andrews later today and to Trevor and Pauline being married on Thursday of this week.
There will be a Youth Service tonight at 6.30 p.m. Please come along and support our young people. We are hoping that other local churches will also be sending representatives, so it would be particularly good to have a good turn out from St Andrews.
The PCC have agreed to establish a staffed crèche during Sunday communion services starting in December. We would be grateful to anyone who would be willing to serve on a rota to help with this. If you are willing to help, please speak to Kate or Greg.

“Poverty, isolation, abuse, ill health, injustice, homelessness: we all see the sharp inequalities of life around us and the devastating impacts they have on people’s lives. Many of us want to do something, to get involved but we don’t always know how. The Besom exists to help you make a difference to the lives of others and to make it easy for you to do so. Everyone – whether you are three years old or over 80, whether working full-time or part-time, a student, a mum with toddlers, in between jobs or retired – can get involved. By giving your time, money, things or skills you can help those who are in real need and make a long term positive difference to their lives.” – come and find out more about Besom, how it’s making a difference to communities and churches across the country, and begin to explore the possibility of establishing Besom in Coventry. For more information, please contact Rev. Andy March – email@example.com – 024 7667 2879, or look at http://www.besom.com/.
