Pews News – 22nd December 2014

December 22nd 2013

St Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.

Many thanks to all those who have read, handed out hymn books, cleaned and decorated the church, prepared powerpoint presentations and so much more over the Christmas period. Bless you all!

From Greg & Fran; Alex & Bev; Kate & Liam and their families for all the cards, gifts and good wishes we have received this Christmas. May your Christmases be blessed.

The church council has agreed to employ a half time leader of StAPH (our church plant that meets at Woodlands School), with a salary of £11k, starting in May. Please speak to Greg or Alex for an informal discussion. The job description, person specification and application form are available on the St Andrews Website at The post is being advertised across other local churches, but we want to do everything possible to encourage applications from within our own fellowship. Do pray for StAPH as it commences another exciting stage of its journey.

The Church Council has also agreed to employ a part-time administrator. The post is for 16 hours a week at £8.50 an hour, working from home and accountable to the Vicar. Please contact Greg on 7642 2856 or for informal discussion. Job description and application form available from the St Andrews Website at Closing date for applications is Dec 31st. It is hoped that the successful applicant will take up post on 20th Jan or as soon as possible thereafter.
