26th October 2014 – Last Sunday after Trinity
St. Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.
Kate’s final service at St. Andrew’s will take place on Sunday 14th December. This will be followed by a farewell lunch at the Eastern Green club from 12 noon to which all are warmly invited. Please do pray for her and her family at this exciting time of change.
Doris Pratt’s Thanksgiving Service will take place at St. Andrew’s on Wednesday 12th November at 2.30pm. Anyone who would like to contribute to the service should speak to Greg.
A confirmation group run by Greg and Kate begins tonight at 7.30pm for anyone wishing to be confirmed at Coventry Cathedral on 29th November this year. It’s still not too late to come along if you are interested.
We are looking for volunteers to operate the laptop which projects powerpoint etc. onto the screens on a rota basis. Anyone who is interested should speak to Greg or Steve Martin. There will be a briefing session on Monday 3rd November at 6.30pm.
We would like to establish a small welcome team to help make newcomers to the church feel welcome and ensure they become fully part of the church quickly (if they so wish). Anyone interested in this really important task should speak to Greg or a churchwarden.
Time for Parents
A new parents group (Time for Parents) has been launched on Monday mornings from 9.30-11am in church (with refreshments and crèche provided) to discuss the joys and challenges of parenting; to support and learn from each other. If you want to know more, please speak to Becky Crowe firstname.lastname@example.org or just come along and join us. There is no meeting this week because of half term. We start up again on 3rd November.

The consultation process for this ends on 31st October. You may participate in this by visiting the website: www.coventrygov.uk/localplan
