22nd February 2015 – First Sunday of Lent
St. Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.
Crèche and Junior Church
Unless otherwise stated, Holy Communion on Sundays includes a crèche for under 3s and Junior Church for 3+.
Tea and Coffee
This week, as requested by the PCC, we are trying a new way of providing refreshments after the service. There will be a table at the back of church with hot water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits. Paper cups are provided. It will be self-service. A member of the coffee rota will be there to help those who cannot serve themselves. It is hoped this will encourage more people to stay and enjoy a drink after the service for fellowship. Please do take the opportunity to stay for a few minutes to meet people.
Volunteers needed to make up bunches of flowers please on Saturday 14th March at 9.15am. Children over the age of 10 years would be welcome to come and help. It takes about half an hour. Please let Ann Dove know if you can help. Thank you.
Children’s Society Boxes
It’s that time of year again. I will be collecting the boxes throughout February. Please bring yours to church if you can, otherwise I will collect from you at some time in the month. Thank you for your continuing support. Jackie Lynch, 024 7646 7344.
