14th June 2015 – Second Sunday after Trinity
St. Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.
This morning we warmly welcome a guest preacher, Ralph Hangar of Limbrick Wood Baptist Church in a pulpit exchange, while Greg will lead the service at Limbrick Wood. This is a welcome sign of our increasingly close working relationship with our local churches.
Following the Healing Service on May 31st, we have already heard some very encouraging answers to prayer. If you have anything to share, please speak to Bev Randle-Bissell or Jane Nye, who is the new leader of the prayer ministry team.
We have commissioned a home communion team of visitors who are happy to take communion to those who are unable to attend church. If you know of anyone who would appreciate a visit from one of the team, please contact David Griffiths on 01675 4422240 or firstname.lastname@example.org A new home communion set has been purchased by the church and is being kept in the vestry.
Many thanks to all those who collected Christian Aid for the parish. Special thanks to Pat Sullivan for coordinating our collection. A total of £1,111 has been achieved overall.
Police report on a recent visit to a relatively small road in the parish, they found as many as 9 vehicles unlocked. They are encouraging residents to be more conscious of their vehicle security.
I would be grateful to hear from someone who is willing to take over a round in Upper Eastern Green Lane (192-230, 240-288, 294-298) – 52 copies on a permanent basis. Our current gentleman of 89, quite rightly, feels it is time to hang up his boots!!! Our grateful thanks to Mr Jelfs for his commitment in delivering the Link for many years. ALSO – For one month only (July Link) can someone please deliver 59 copies to (Stonebury Avenue – 69-end, one side only). This is a holiday cover. Many thanks to all our dedicated distributors it is much appreciated. Barbara Warner (02476 403458/07846 288036) email@example.com.
Bannerbrook Park Community Day
The event will run from 12-4pm on Bannerbrook Park with a Ceilidh (barn dance) at 6pm. There will be bouncy castles, side show stalls, a dog show, local businesses and independent sellers, a bake off, village games and lots more! Volunteers needed to help man stalls, set up etc. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are available to help.
Our youth drama course open to 8-14s continues tomorrow, Monday June 15th at Jardine Youth Centre at 5.30pm for 6 weeks. Anyone in that age bracket is welcome to attend for some or all of the sessions. Please speak to Greg or Selina to arrange a lift.
On September 12th, a party from St. Andrews will be walking the Coventry Way. This is a forty mile path that circuits the city, mainly through fields and off road paths, and unlike last year’s venture is entirely flat! You are invited to consider walking some or all of the route, mindful that we will be raising funds for both St. Andrew’s and the Laura Centre (a charity that provides support to bereaved children and parents who have lost children). We are also looking for a support group to provide refreshments and transport. There is a briefing meeting on Monday June 22nd at the Vicarage. Please see Greg for further information.
140th Anniversary Weekend
Jonathan Viera, a renowned Christian international singer, raconteur and comedian has agreed to perform along with his family at our 140th anniversary concert on Saturday 15th August, which will be held at the Massey Ferguson Social Concert room. Jonathan Veira is an international baritone who has performed with the English National Opera as well as in the West End. Tickets are available from Fran, Rosemarie, Jackie or Julie at a cost of £12. Because we anticipate great interest in this concert, we are not putting tickets on general sale until 28th June. Also that weekend, on Sunday 16th, there will be a tea party at the Vicarage between 4 and 6pm, during which time Charles and Jill Holbrook have very kindly offered to open up the old Vicarage to guided tours. At 6.30pm we will have a Songs of Praise Service in church.
4all@4 Family Service
The next 4all@4 family service takes place on Sunday 28th June at 4pm. This is an interactive, friendly service designed for children and families.

Alex Induction Service

We also need to know absolute numbers who would like to go (even if you would prefer to make your own way) because places in the church may be limited. Please sign up on the sheet at the back of church as soon as possible.
There is a training morning on Saturday 4th July from 9.30-12 noon in church led by Revd Steve Burch for all those with an interest in prophetic ministry. We are going to start with the basics, so anyone who is wondering whether they might have a gift but have no experience will be welcome. Please speak to Greg or Phil if you want to know more.
The next Messy Church service will be held at Limbrick Wood Baptist Church this afternoon Sunday 14th June at 3.30pm.
