Coventry Diocese are planning to treat the period from the Ascension to Pentecost as a time to seek God’s renewal for the Church.
As part of this process, they are inviting churches and individuals to undertake a pilgrimage. For this area, the most convenient pilgrimage entails walking the 40 miles of the Coventry Way over 10 days, finishing on Pentecost Sunday, May 15th, at Coventry Cathedral.
Visit the diocese website at: http://www.dioceseofcoventry.org to find out more. Click on ‘Christian Faith’ and then the 2016 Pilgrimages tab.
It would be especially good if walkers from St Andrews and StAPH were willing to walk the following sections together:
- Friday May 6th from 5.15-8 p.m. from Meriden to Burton Green
- Saturday May 7th from 2-5 p.m. from Burton Green to Stoneleigh
- Friday May 13th from 5-8 p.m. from Bedworth to Fillongley
- Sunday May 15th from 2-5 p.m. from Eastern Green to the Cathedral
