10th June 2018 – Second Sunday after Trinity
St Andrew’s Church welcomes allcomers, whether this is your first time or thousandth time in church. You are welcome whatever your age, gender, marital status, disability, race or sexuality. You are welcome whether you have a deep and mature faith in Christ; are uncertain and still seeking; or have no faith. If you are new to church, please do take a welcome leaflet to be found in the pews; and do not hesitate to ask one of the welcomers if you have any queries.
We are delighted to welcome Revd Sacha Slavic (Chaplain at Bablake School) who served a placement at St Andrew’s during his training. Sacha will be presiding and preaching this morning.
After many, many years Diane Wilson has decided to hang up her mop. She has epitomised loyalty and professionalism in this role. In replacing her, we want to investigate whether it might be possible to recruit a band of volunteers to clean for an hour once a week. We probably need 5 people altogether to allow volunteers to take a week off when necessary. If you are interested in helping, please speak to Greg, Diane or Jackie Lynch.
Phil Richardson will be ordained Priest on Sunday 1st July at Coventry Cathedral at 10.30am. Phil will be presiding at Holy Communion for the first time the following Sunday, 8th July at 10am in a joint service with the St Andy’s congregation. We will be celebrating Phil’s priesting that afternoon with a Strawberry Cream Tea in the Vicarage garden. All welcome. Offers of cakes gratefully received. Please speak to Fran.

The Smith family has recently changed its home insurance. Not only did we save nearly £200 over the year for ourselves, but Ecclesiastical Insurance then issued a cheque for £130 for St Andrew’s. If six more families were to do this come their renewal date, this would be an additional £1,000 for the church and savings for you. To find out more, ring 0800 783 0130 and quote TRUST130 or visit ecclesiastical.com/Trust130. This is fundraising as easy as it gets.
We are pleased to report that Lynnette had a successful operation to remove her gall bladder and is slowly on the mend. She will be back amongst us in due course but is for now grateful to receive visitors. Please call first.
