Acts chapter 16 records how Paul and Silas were in chains in a dark dungeon and responded by singing praise to God. The result was that their chains fell off and the jailer and his family were immediately converted and baptised. Many of us feel as though we have been imprisoned during the lockdown which has now fixed end to it. Let us like those Saints of old praise God and trust that miraculous things will happen.
I hope you enjoyed as much as I did the meditation led by Lesley last night. This is still available on the website. It was a beautiful reflection on God’s love for us. I never cease to marvel at the skill of our technicians who make this seem so effortless, but I know takes huge amounts of hard work. Thanks again to Vicky, Paul and Steve for this. Tonight, Dan & Kirstie will post four worship songs related to the Passion interspersed with bible readings. On Maundy Thursday, there will be a guided meditation to accompany a pre-recorded Gospel of the Watch.
On Friday, there will be two acts of worship; a service and a powerpoint reflection. We suggest (if possible) watching the former at 10 a.m. and the latter at 2 p.m. if your diary allows.
There will also be a live act of witness by the local church leaders, at 12 noon.
We will celebrate the joy and glory of the resurrection on Sunday at 10 a.m. I am hoping we can have a virtual coffee time after the service at 11 a.m. via zoom. The link for this will be sent tomorrow. Hope to see you then.
We are sad to report the death of Colin Sanders on Monday evening. Please pray for Jennifer and her family at such a sad time, only exacerbated by the limitations on funeral attendance.
The final bulletin of this week will be sent out tomorrow at 12 noon. There will be only one mailing next week on Thursday because of Julie and Greg’s holiday.
A reminder that we are here to shop! Please don’t wait until the cupboards are bare to ask for help. A couple of days notice is very helpful. Please contact Julie for assistance on 07756 918847 or email@example.com
The foodbank in Tile Hill will reopen next week to supply food during the corona crisis. It will be run out of the Mosaic Family Hub. Food parcels arrive pre-packed. But we will need people to deliver them. If you are able to help or want to know more, please contact Julie asap.
“I have set the Lord always before me…Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices…because you will not abandon me to the grave” Psalm 16 (Thanks to Jayne Nye for these words)
